The website has undergone a number of design changes over the last couple of weeks. I think I now have a design in mind that I am comfortable with, but it is not quite there yet. It will need a number of articles adding to the site before I can get the correct structure.
What have I done so far. Well, the website is using WordPress blogging/cms software. I have been a huge WordPress fan for a number of years and I have built several WordPress sites for customers over the years.
I started using the free MH Magazine Lite theme. This is a really nice theme and has a number of customisable options. However, I found I was starting to edit the CSS file just to get the look and feel I was after. I could of created a child theme and manually changed all the CSS. Instead I took a look at the premium version of the site and that has far more options for changing the look and feel. All for a very reasonable price. The premium version has more then paid for itself in the time it has saved me to change the layout and colour scheme etc.
